'Chime Sharp' now available on Steam

After six years of waiting, fans of the music-based puzzler Chime can finally get their hands on the long awaited sequel with Chime Sharp. The game, which is now available on Steam, mixes Tetris-like elements with electronic music.
Developed by Chilled MouseChime Sharp is a "bolder and more polished version" of the original according to an email we received. The game's unique mechanic of how each block placed in the game has an effect on the dynamic soundtrack, making each play-through of the game a new musical experience, returns and is improved in the updated version.

According to a prepared statement we received from Ian Baverstock, the CEO of Chilled Mouse Chime Sharp "represents the next step in the path that Ste Curran and Zoë Mode took with the original game. Our goal now, as it was then, is to have players engage with and remix quality music through compelling gameplay, seamlessly blending the two elements. We’re so proud of the roster of musicians we got to work with for Chime Sharp, and we hope players will feel the same way when they start remixing those amazing tunes themselves!”
Chime Sharp features a stellar line up of musical talent, including: Kavinsky, CHVRCHES, Steve Reich, Los, Chipzel, Andy Hung, Message to Bears, Timothy Schmalz, Magic Sword, Shirobon, Noveller, Haiku Salut, Luc Grey, A Mote of Dust, and Symbion Project. "I was absolutely thrilled to work on Chime Sharp. It's a fantastic little game that perfectly combines music sequencing with challenging gameplay”, said Niamh Houston, aka Chipzel. “My track "Psychonaut" was created with the gameplay in mind - entwining multiple layers that progressively build to compliment the final arrangement and written with the intention of awarding the player as they advance, through evocative melodies and euphoric transitions."
To celebrate the launch of the title, players who download Chime Sharp on Steam will receive a 20% launch discount on the game, with a purchase price of $14.99 for a limited time.
