With warmer weather on the way, Unilever Ice Cream is pleased to announce some new additions to its frozen lineup. These new treats will indulge you with salted caramel, chocolate and raspberries, or maybe just cool your mouth while warming your heart with a S'mores Klondike bar. Here are the new additions.
Breyers has some new Gelato Indulgences flavors including Salted Caramel. This is a creamy salted caramel gelato covered with gourmet salted caramel truffles. Other new flavors include Peanut Butter, Hazelnut and Chocolate Truffle. We also sampled the Peanut Butter Gelato Indulgences. This creamy peanut butter based gelato is delicious, and there are plenty of mini chocolate peanut butter cups sprinkled throughout the mixture. We like the new flavors. However, we rate the Breyers Gelato Indulgences Strawberry Truffle as our all time favorite for the colorful swirl and creaminess of the pairing of strawberry and chocolate.
Breyers Ice Cream Cake: This novelty features Breyers Chocolate Ice Cream with chocolatey crunchies, layered between two layers of Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream. This sounds like the perfect treat for a birthday or barbecue.
Good Humor Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich: This is a great nostalgic favorite that you cannot go wrong with. We prefer the original with vanilla ice cream, and we love the mini chocolate chips on the outside.
Klondike S’mores: We were a little skeptical of this frozen treat. S'mores are warm and gooey and how could they get that taste in a frozen form. We were not disappointed. This Klondike bar features the classic Klondike chocolate shell. Inside a creamy marshmallow ice cream mellows your tongue with a creamy stripe of graham cracker swirl. Somehow it has the toasted marshmallow taste that we usually associate with s'mores.
MAGNUM Double Raspberry: We love Magnum bars, and the Magnum Double Raspberry by far was our favorite treat of this selection. This treat is so indulgent with raspberry ice cream, rich raspberry sauce, and a Belgian chocolate coating of rich sweetness. A few bites and we are transported to somewhere in Europe in a shady courtyard on a cobblestone street.
Popsicle Tropical Paradise: This Popsicle variety includes four refreshing tropical flavors: Mango, Strawberry-Banana, Island Punch, and Pineapple. Popsicles are a great refreshing treat for the hot weather, and a little taste of a tropical paradise never hurt anyone.
Overall, we give the Magnum Double Raspberry our top rating for creaminess, presentation, and deliciousness. Breyers Gelato Indulgences come in second with our favorite being the Strawberry Truffle Gelato for its richness, sweetness and colorful swirls. Rounding up to third place we give our accolades to Klondike S'mores for their creative convenience (your fingers won’t get sticky from gooey marshmallows), creamy taste, and the fun factor.
